Plagiarism Policy
Proceeding of International Conference on Economic, Management, Business, and Accountancy (ICONEMBA) upholds strict anti-plagiarism policies to ensure the originality and integrity of published research.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes but is not limited to:
- Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without proper attribution.
- Reproducing significant portions of text (verbatim or near-verbatim) without citation.
- Self-plagiarism, such as republishing one's own previously published work without disclosure or proper acknowledgment.
Policy Implementation
- Initial Screening:
- All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools.
- Permissible Similarity Index:
- Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% (excluding references) are subject to further editorial scrutiny and may be rejected.
Actions for Plagiarism
- Minor Plagiarism:
- Authors are required to revise and resubmit the manuscript with proper citations.
- Severe Plagiarism:
- The manuscript is rejected outright, and the author(s) may be blacklisted from future submissions.
- If detected post-publication, the article will be retracted with a formal notice on the journal's website.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure the originality of their work and appropriately cite all sources. Submitting plagiarized content violates academic ethics and undermines the credibility of research.
By enforcing this policy, ICONEMBA aims to uphold high ethical standards and foster trust in the academic community.
